cont...see how on yours the faces/tops of the DV's are pointing up? They need to be pointing towards each other. The flange on each DV, notice one has a slot machined in it and the other doesn't? That is because one side only should see high boost and the other not. You have the high boost side connected to the open intake, not the CP where it belongs. That slot is so the hose clamp can cinch down tight on boosted flow.

Don't worry about it. Keep in mind you may need to move the back DV to the front and the front to the back in your situation to get it all to line up right like the pic. The DV's are not identical.

So I just went on the highway, antispin flashed in 3rd gear.. I think the JB4 is stopping me now. I have a flash that is boosting 19+ psi but the JB4 puts me into map 4..

Man thanks a lot! Saved me hours of frustrations. I'm having forge sending me 2 service kits, new silicon hoses and blue springs. I think the blue springs are too much though.

Edit: sorry, guess I was late to the party....

How do you like the er cp? I'm thinking of getting same one to replace my current stock cp with forge dv's.

No problem. About the springs, they serve a different function on a diverter valve than on a blow off valve. On a diverter you are just tuning the rate and level that it opens WRT the internal intake manifold vacuum that you want them to open at, has little/nothing to do with boost levels.

Most things I read on N54 indicate yellow is enough with no shim. IOW just because you run higher boost you do not need stiffer DV springs, unrelated.

I would actually advise you to leave the DV's alone for a while if they seem to be working properly, and focus on tuning and getting everything else working right. You may not need to rebuild them at all, and if it were my car I would not touch them unless there were specific signs they were malfunctioning (assuming installed correctly).

Just read the entire thread. Was interested as I had installed my Forge DV's "upside down" when I first put them in.

It's great to see the members in this thread stick with the OP until he got it sorted out . Reminds of the e90post of old..
