Yeah, we had little bit of arguing about what happens to speedo, when upsized tyres are used. So there probably are some conflicting info. Truth is speedo shows more than true speed. You can code the digital speed hud to show the exact speed.

Your get more miles on your tires if you get a square set. Otherwise, you can't rotate your tires and that means you will be replacing them much more often.
e90's typically run about 3mph slow then true speed. 63 = 60 etc. I agree with iboost, if you went up a profile in tire, you would probably cancel out this little misnomer. Check these out before you make a final decision to buy. This, I think is a square set up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-M5-GUNMET...67242890&rt=nc |

See sig for possible upsizing options.
It's true; stock speedo reads faster than you're actually going. With many smartphone apps being made available now and as cheap as stand alone GPS units are, why is this still a topic of debate? Either option will let you know EXACTLY how fast you're driving with any wheel/tire combination imaginable. It's not rocket surgery and peeps still fighting the truth are either dumb or just plain ignorant...either way, after using a GPS unit on my dash as well as road side radar based equipment, I can tell you that both my current wheel/tire setups read 100% accurate when compared to stock wheel/tire sizes at all speeds tested up to ~80 mph or so (which ends up being about 3-3.5% difference). |
