Cant wait to see the bashers when the DTronics is released.
Same thing been going on for 7 years. Nobody can just be happy with their tune, gotta go and piss on someone elses. It is funny how many people say how bad Dinan is yet somehow they stay in business and do fairly well it seems. To hear it from the people on here they should have been out of business the same week they started.

Haha
I agree man. I'm not made of money but I know what I can afford.
Seems no one has nothing better to do then complain about companies prices. As if they are out there spending their time and money on R&D and then to sell it in masses to the public.
Dinan and any other legit company like Active Autowerke, Hamann, etc.. have been around as long as they have by selling shit parts ?? Come on..haha
If you don't like the price don't buy it. Simple.
But people feel like they get somewhere by talking shit.
They probably complain about anything they buy regardless for their car or not.
New Hamann body kit for an M6 starts around $28-$30,000 (just for parts before tax) and I don't see the bashing forum for that.

and it's just as funny to see the Dinan Fan Boys continue to write the same post over and over again (see above). I can't tell you how many times I have read a post like the ones above over the past few years on this forum. Its almost like you know you're getting ripped off and you need to justify it. Yes, I have run Dinan parts in the past and make my comments from experience. Again, you don't have to look any further than forum member BuraQ for someone that gets it. He's been on both sides of the coin and has positive and negative experiences regarding this subject.

Dinan stays in business because of the relationship with BMW and the fact that many people want the name and the fact that there is a warranty with their products. Nothing wrong with that. Their racing technology also is a big boost for the company.

I've never complained about any of my aftermarket parts on really any of my cars because none of them have given me a hassle or really performed poorly. Could they? Sure, but when you buy aftermarket parts there is no guarantee and you are messing with the stock system so you have to be prepared (and understand) if something goes wrong. You need to do your homework and buy proven products from good vendors. If you do that and have them installed properly you should not really have any issues.

im interested in the dinan turbos since i already have dinan software. does anyone know how the changes dinan has made to the turbos compares with RB, VTT or other upgraded turbo options? Is the difference in the quoted hp/tq ratings more related to the conservative tune or is it that the dinan turbos themselves are not made to create as much power?

Agreed I don't feel to need to justify my Dinan stuff, I know why I bought it, and actually noticed changes. Honestly if I'd never seen another performance part like Cobb, or BMS I'm sure I would have felt I got my moneys worth.

But after using BMS Stage 1 on my m5 for 20k miles almost
using Dinan stage 3 suspension, inner cooler, intake, etc. on my 335i
Dinan intake, pulley, etc. on my m3...

There is just not much reason to justify spending it unless you need warranty, think it looks cool to have D all over, or have a stickler dealership who'd flag you real quick. The performance to dollar ratio doesn't justify it for any other reasons especially when so many PROVEN quality companies are available. And thats kinda the bottom line.

Take the m5 if Dinan was the only company with a flash tune for the 63tu and they wanted to charge 5k and it was a legit flash, or you'd have to go get a Janky press file [basically competition package rebadged by a few tuners]. I'd pay it and be happy... But when they're doing piggybacks, or the same thing everyone else is doing there just isn't a point.

AND YES I BOUGHT DINAN STAGE 1 SOFTWARE FLASH FOR my 335i for $1299 my first dip into tuning LMFAO

Getting FBO off BMS site is what 2499-3k?
Dinan intake, Fmic, software, oilcooler [i didn't have one so I had to do a whole new one], suspension is like 12kish

If you blew your engine its like 8-20k new so you've either covered that cost, or are 50% paid if you wanted brand new vs. warranty protection [assuming you didn't hose your tranny ]
