quick question about Mr 5 intake or similar design

II'm about to buy a stock air intake to convert it to a Mr 5 style intake. And I want to know if this will fit with a charge pipe with bov, especially the aa bov kit.

I've been searching but I've gotten tons of results for other fitment topics. Thanks in advance!

AA's bov sits right where you want the run the hose, I don't know if you can move the PS reservoir over to make room for it.

Edit: nevermind, looks like people run them that way regardless.
ok so sounds like there are a couple ways to run the duct/hose. So for sure it will fit?

thank you for your response!

I changed my post after looking at some pics of Mr5 intake setups. When I ran the AA bov mine sat right next to the reservoir, so i'm not sure if it can be moved.

I have the CP-e charge pipe with tial bov, and you can't (easily) move the ps resevoir so mr.5 in this config would be a no-go. Not without some ps resevoir creativity.

I'm running it.

Don't know about other BOVs, but did figure out that the Forge units are too tall. I ended up using some lower profile AWE units as modified by Helix Motorsports in Phila. and they fit fine.

You can move the forge units a little with longer sections of radiator hose and make them fit. About $10 mod.

It's shorter, so it fits more easily beneath the hose running from the stock air box to the filter on the Mr. 5 intake.

Its pretty easy to move the PS reservoir. Let me know if you have questions.

FWIW, Helix doesn't sell the AWE units anymore. They've switched to TurboSmart units that can configured either as a BOV or a DV.

I made a custom ps reservoir mount with the above inspiration. I'm very happy with the way it looks....here are some photos (notice the poor paint job on the brackets lol..i will paint brush them later to touch up

Neil,

Could you post a pic of your install on the 1M? Don't think I've seen a Mr.5 setup on those cars.

Thanks,
Garrick
