Wheel/Tire/Offset Combo (Yes, i did research)
Hey guys, thanks in advance for the help.
I have an Alpine white 2010 LCI e90 335i stock sport suspension and i'm racking my brain trying to figure out the right Wheel/Tire/Offset combo. My main concern is rubbing and rolling the fender, both of which i don't want to do right now. I plan the keep the stock suspension for a while and maybe eventually lower it (not 100% on this yet though). So far, i've settled on a CSL style rim (either hyperblack, super silver, or gunmetal, cant decide on this either. lmk what which color you think) and Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires. Sizes i'm considering: Front - 8.5x19 235/35R19 Rear - 9.5x19 265/30R19 or Front - 8.5x19 235/35R19 Rear - 10x19 265/30R19 (Not sure if this combo is ideal though, anyone know of a company that sell a 9j csl style rim for the front instead of the 8.5? any ill effect running 8.5 in the front and 10j in the rear?) Heres the part that i cant settle on...the OFFSET. Currently i have Style 287 which i believe is ET34 up Front and ET39 in the rear (from: http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/287). currently the set i'm looking at is 8.5x19 ET35 and 9.5x19 ET38. If i calculated this correctly, ET35 will move the wheel a little less than .25" closer to the front fender. for the rear, a little over .50" closer to the rear fender. This setup, i think shouldn't be an issue. But reading through some threads, i see some are running ET33s and even lower. Others say 335 use less aggressive ETs like ET40. Just need some advice on whether i'm good to go with the setups above, or is you have other recommendations that would be great. I'm trying to get the largest/widest wheel/tire combo without rubbing. So i guess, what the max i can go on stock sport suspension vs the max i can go is i were to lower it a bit?/ Again, thanks. |

8.5 et 25-35 up front will work. IMO Apex ps7 would look good in gunmetal or hypersilver. You could do 9 et35 with a 245/35/19 all around. http://www.apexraceparts.com/apex-pr...l#.U8xn_qa9LCQ |

I'm bitting the bullet. Decided to just go ahead an order some lowering springs while i'm at it. The Plan: Eibach ProKit VMr 710s Hyper Silver front: 8.5x19 ET35 235/35 rear: 9.5x19 ET38/40 265/30 |

If you were willing to roll your fenders (might not have to) 8.5 et20 and 9.5 et33 would look much better. |
