Item Interest
Hello,
I'm selling a new BMW Performance DCT Steering wheel. I purchased this almost 2 years ago and didn't have time to install until a few weeks ago. Upon unpacking, I realized this was a DCT model so its up for sale! Asking $1200 picked up.

What does it come with? Paddles? Would it work with the 335IS? Airbags? Thanks

Yes, it will work with the 335IS. I'm not sure if the 335IS airbag will fit and thats something you need to look up yourself. There are no paddles but rather integrated buttons on the wheel's 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock.

Just took a look and yes, the airbag will transfer from your old wheel to the new.

DCT has holes & mounting points for shift paddles, Non-DCT does not...

You can actually mount shift paddles on it then?

Yup, the rectangular hole with the paddle mounting hole is clearly visible on left hand side of wheel in the pic

It will work. I just installed one in my 335is - well dealer installed. If you have DCT the stock 335is paddles will fit and work. Air bag will fit and work. You can run the part number to make sure but it is the same wheel here (OP) that I put in mine and I love it! Some of the best money I have spent on the car. Apologies for the blury picture. I added the ///M type steering wheel badge similar to the one on the 335is OEM M Performance to the new one. Sticks to the Alcantara no problem.

If only BMW would have stitched it with the ///M colors like they have done with the one being shown for the M4 now and added the ///M badge on the wheel. It is the little things that stand out the most. Think they just get lazy. Love the wheel anyway. When it was all said and done, I paid $2,000 USD (paid $1200 for the wheel w/out the wheel cover and infrared TX/RX and ordered from from Flemington BMW in New Jersey because the same wheel in California was $1600) including the install for the entire kit (Alcantara cables, etc) - including the track/lap sensors (which I ordered by mistake) but glad I did. Expensive but that is what my tax return is for!

Here is the Non-California cost breakdown:

BMW Electronic Performance Steering Wheel
Part # 32302165396 QTY 1 $1,232.31

Alcantara Steering Wheel Cover
Part # 32300430403 QTY 1 $49.08

HP Infrared Receiver
Part # 71607715830 QTY 1 $212.97

HP Infrared Transmitter
Part # 71607715836 QTY 1 $177.47

My cruise control is really touchy now...have you noticed any change in yours since the install?

Two questions for you man, but first, love your IS and the wheel.

1) That cover you speak of, is that an actual steering wheel cover the wraps around the wheel? One thing scaring me away form getting this wheel is that my car is a daily, and on my e46, you could start to see wear in the alcantara very quickly.

2) Are those floor mats from the F30? The rubber all season ones that may or may not work on e92's? I was going to take a gamble and buy them to see if they would fit, but the e46 rubber all season mats worked for the time being haha

Appreciate the IS car love! Thanks!

1. The cover is the center piece for the wheel that covers the buttons and rest of the wheel center. The wheel itself is covered in Alcantara as well. This is my daily car and I had the same concern so I wear gloves mostly to keep it clean but...The Chemical Guys make two things that will keep the Alcantara from becoming dirty and smooth. One cleans it and you just gently wipe it on and wipe it of with a damp microfiber cloth (weekly) and the other you wipe on bi-weekly and this repels dirt hand oils etc and seals it to keep the napp looking good. I do all that and wear driving gloves most of the time but then like feeling the wheel too. Frankly with the Chemical Guys stuff you don't need the gloves.

Fabric Guard (Alcantara) $12.99 - Chemical Guys - P/N SPI_210_16 - Fabric Guard Interior Protector Shield (16 oz)
Fabric Clean (was called Inner Clean) (Alcantara) 8.99 - Chemical Guys - P/N CWS_103_16 - Fabric Clean Carpet & Upholstery Shampoo & Odor Eliminator (16 oz)

2. Yes. Got them from ECS and they are a perfect fit. (http://www.ecstuning.com/News/BMW_Bi...014/ES2530672/).

and if you want to add the ///M logo to the wheel (http://www.ebay.com/itm/290960835086...witem=&vxp=mtr) makes it keeps it on par the OEM badging of the wheel.
