My insurance has become quite awesome this year.
LAST year I paid 980 fully comp, 26 with 5 years no claims. THIS year, I'm due to renew in 3 weeks - but just done a quote.. 27, 6 years no claims, protected (wasn't last year). £560 from Admiral. furthermore, Sky and A-Plan haven't been contacted yet. Sky always manage to beat the best comparison quote. So I'm hopeful of 530 or less... What's the trick? In the past 12 months I've bought a house, am cohabiting with a lady, and moved from an "E" rated postcode to a C rated postcode Getting older helps too mind... Sorry, not helping some of you guys who are paying through the nose, but I've been there! At age 20 I paid well over £2500 to insure the 320d on year one. At age 18 I paid £4300 to insure a Peugeot 206 worth less than £4300! It's been along the lines of... 4300, 1900, 2500, 1800, 1600, 1600, 900 (the 350z was ludicrously cheap), 1600 (the 335d wasn't ... ), 900... So I've paid. Guess getting older and making adult decisions such as owning property are finally paying off. Also interestingly perhaps, is that this is the first year adding a bunch of older relatives as named drivers to my policy has put the premium UP not down. I had Naomi's parents and my parents on my policy always in the past and have saved more than 20% at times by doing so... It seems finally I'm "low enough of a risk" that adding people in doesn't lower the cost due to the chance of me not driving the car Dave
