About to install meth kit...
I'm using the basic DIY from a 335i post a while back and using the tips I've seen (where to tap for power, purge air from the hose and test it before installing the nozzle).
Any other advice? Maybe a different/better power source than normal? And how do I tap the charge pipe without removing it??? Or is that impossible :-). Any pics or links much appreciated. You always think you've done all the research until it's time to get started. |

You'll want to remove the charge pipe to tap it and clean out any shavings which fall in.

Where can I tap into the vacuum line for boost? I'm not finding that info anywhere, and the activation is performed by boost range. I was told to set it at 15-16psi initiation.
It's either off or on- no progression. And at 220psi on the meth pump, the 8gph nozzle I have will flow approximately 650ml/min. Here's what the seller told me. All methanol nozzles are flowed at 100 psi 8gph flow chart 6.00 GPH (378 ml/min) @ 50 psi 8.00 GPH (504 ml/min) @ 100 psi 9.00 GPH (567 ml/min) @ 150 psi 10.00 GPH (630 ml/min) @ 200 psi 10.50 GPH (693 ml/min) @ 250 psi 220 psi is roughly 10.20gph 300 psi is roughly 11gph |
