Confused. Read my scenario.

1. Ordered 328i e92 with sport package.
2. Would like to replace stock tires with Pirelli Nero Zero.
3. Am I going to have TPMS light come up?
4. I owned a 06 (built 05) 325i and replaced RFT with Pirelli and would get a caution light from time to time...I would do the reset and it would go away.
5. Where is the TPMS sending unit located? Valve? Inside of the rim?
6. Please educate me!

P.S. I've searched, but it only gor me confused.

You will get a TPMS light initially until you reset the tire pressure which is easily done using the upper left control stalk. Check owners manual for details. The TPMS sensor is located inside the rim of the tire and uses a special valve stem that is integral with the system. As long as you use the same wheels or buy new wheels and have TPMS sensors and valve stems put on, you will not get the light after you reset the sensors.

So, I have to tell the guy replacing my tires to keep original valve stems, and then reset tire pressure. Did you have RFT replaced?

I have p nero zero and im running my stock TPMS (on a custom wheel though). You will have zero issues especially since your not changing the stock wheel.

By the way Im impressed with this tire. Very quiet and mine are 20's.

I put totally new wheels, tires and TPMS on and never got a reset light.

YMMV.
