New Car problems

So I picked up my car on Saturday and got it washed/detailed. Is it normal for the fog light housings to steam up and get moisture in it? Also I noticed a hug scratch on the windows where the invoice sticker was placed. hardly noticeable to the naked eye but if you look really close its possible to see it. Also, The jack points under the car are plastic and one seemed a little deformed.

Very minor problems but just thinking of them don't give me peace of mind given the price I paid for the freakin car.

Any advice/ suggestions?

Id suggest posting in the general forum, not the DIY forum.

Aside from that, you shouldnt get any condensation in your headlights or foglights. However from time to time it will happen. Just take a hairdryer to it.

As for the scratch, dunno what to say.

For the jack points, they are VERY strong. Can you take a picture as to what you mean by "deformed"? Go to the FS section and look up "Jack blocks". Josh49(member name) is selling BMW specific mounting blocks that fit directly into these jack points. Very slick!

It's warped just like that if nto worse. Would it be hard for the dealer to replace this jack point?

Did you drive over something? It's easy to scrape/chip that over a speed bump.

The dealer can replace it... but you'll have to convince them that it was like that already and that you didn't do it.

You could try but honestly they might laugh at you. That part will still work if you want to jack it up and its not a visually damaging piece as its under the car where nobody can see it.

Check out this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...highlight=jack

I got one of these and I can tell you its probably the best thing I bought for the car.

Yea im guessing I should just let it be? I mean that part is going to get wear and tear after driving like you said.

At least that what it seems in that post u sent me. Lots of scratches and warpage.

Hell, at least those things are now bolted onto the car. The "hockey pucks" on e36's would fly off as you were driving the car home. When I had one left on my car I just threw it in the garage. I just jack up on the frame now regardless. So it goes. Some things on BMW's seem overlooked by the engineering dept.
