Estimates on CO, HC, NOx after mods
Hey guys; I wanted to know if anyone has run an exhaust gas analyzer on their M57 (or M47/N47 for that matter) after DPF, EGR or SCR elimination.
I'm just asking for curiosity, not for any evil intention. I would have tagged on one of the other threads, but it seems too OT. Besides, there's enough posting on the "DPF Delete" thread that is OT; you guys can barely talk to each other without flames flying. ![]() I halfway expect TDIwyse to have the info at hand... ![]() I kind of doubt that EGR delete has major impact, and even DPF alone probably won't affect too much except for HC. |

Sorry to disappoint ... don't have access to that type of instruments. Otherwise I would definitely measure it!
Based on the little direct data I have it would indicate things are running in a more thermally efficient state (statistically significant higher mpg's), but definitely more particulate emissions (tail pipes get dirtier faster, visible particulates at full fueling/higher rpm's).
