Add an amp for a sub on a HIFI system
Hey all,
I have an upgraded HIFI system already. I have a technic harness, interfacing with a JL XD600/6. This drives my front and rear and under seat subs. I have a donor sub box, with an amp to drive it. The amp is a Clarion 2120, nothing fancy but it's meant to just drive the sub - a JL 12 (not sure which version). I know I likely need a LOC, question I have is - do I tap the wires going into the amp, or the wires coming out of the amp. Thanks! |

Otherwise, you will need a Matrix line driver to convert a balanced signal into un-balanced for yor Clarion. I would not suggest a LOC in your case as it will require using the XD amp outputs as the LOC inputs. |

It it doesn't take a balanced input. Also living in Canada limits what products I have available to me. So other than the Matrix brand, what am I looking for? Thanks for the help!
