I ran no plate for 2-3 months when I imported my car.....

Eventually, if you start to tune and mod your car, it will catch more peoples attention and you'll naturally get pulled over. The first time I got pulled over, I got a warning. The second time I got a ticket.

I mounted the plate and fought the ticket and it got dropped, but the 2+ hours of going to the courthouse + the time away from work isn't worth it.

Just throw a plate on. It look like shit, but what can you do. When you make enough money and buy a lambo, you can run no plate and not give a shit.

Well said, whenever I pull up to someone not running front plates I always ask them "Do you get harassed by the cops? and they mostly say no" (mind you these are like Hyundai's, VW etc..
My friend drives a heavily moded civic and he doesn't run front plates, and he constantly gets pulled over b/c of it along with other charges

All in all, you are right the more noticeable your car is with mods and stuff like that, it'll catch the cops eyes as well.

Thanks for the comment.

I placed a big piece of foam tape behind the plate on the top centre and positioned the plate flush with the bumper so when running on the freeway, the plate flexes marginally and pushes the plate to the bumper maybe like a few mm to distribute the force so the mesh grill won;t get damaged easily.

The only hassle that I have is whenever I go into the touch less car wash, I have to remove the plate w/ an allen key but I got used to it lol

And don't put your plate on your dash, because it'll cut your your head off if you get in an accident.

I had the plate on hanging on the grill like a tongue sticking out until my screwless plate holder arrived.

It's like this and bolts onto the bottom plate screws. Got this over the tow hook mount because it looks more OEM and I clear bra'd my plate to protect it form stone chips.

OMG, Where do I get that?

More times than not, I usually wash the car myself, so that wouldn't be a huge problem. I like the idea just as I said again, I'm scared of it damaging my mesh grill because my current mesh grill is already damaged a bit because of stones/rocks or whatnot.

+1 to the guy who said; where can we get this?

I really don't understand people putting the plates on the dash. They prob think that they can make excuses to the tell the cops they pulled over and pretty sure cops heard them all.

These people would rather be cool and cut their heads/face-off, then put a plate #!

I got it on sale from amazon, it is made by bell auto and it is way cleaner, I paid 16$ CDN shipped for it but it did take a while, however this smokes the tow hook plate mount IMO as it looks cleaner but it is a personal preference and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Thanks, ill def keep it in mind as this those solve my problem for the time being. I might give it a shot on my current bumper right now to see how it holds, my mesh grill right now is somewhat damaged but hopefully it'll be fine.

Im not running a front plate at the moment, I installed the Arkym front bumper on my M3, and I like the clean look.

Having said that I have the tow hook mount and license plate in the back...I figure the first time they stop me, ill just tell him I just bought the tow hook, and i have a scheduled date on the weekend to put it on.

^ That will work for the first time, and then ill just put it on lol.

Seems like downtown cops dont care, I have passed many and they dont come at me.

But yeah, once I hit Markham or Mississauga, I start to worry lol.

I know ill get stopped eventually...and it will be a shit storm:

Cop: "Wheres your front license plate?"

Cop: "Says here your car is white, why am I looking at a red car?"

Cop: "What exhaust is that?"

etc..etc.. lol

I'm sure as soon as he reads what the plate says he will turn around and either run away in terror or call for backup

This is awesome! Where did you get this? I've been looking everywhere for a good solution to the front plate because I don't want it under the bumper rubbing on the floor or on the row hook.
