A good forum for 2003 3 Series questions?
I'm just about to trade my 2003 325 in and the damn yellow brake pad indicator light comes on! Don't want to bring the car in with it on. I've searched online and found 3 methods for reset. Two didn't work and I'm looking for suggestions or a good place to post questions for e46 (2003 325).
1. Key in position two for 5 mins [Failed] 2. Disconnect battery for 10 mins [Failed] 3. Hold trip reset button, key in position 1. [Scared to try this, because it will reset my oil service counter] |

the brake lining sensor needs replacing before it will go out....
some people wont replace the brake pads and just replace the sensor, tying the sensor out of the way. |

Well, did you replace your brake pads? The light won't turn off if the pad sensor is being grounded and causing the light to go on your dash. Anyway, check out E46fanatics.com, there is a TON of info on that site.
