Issues when running wire from cabin into engine bay
I need to pull two strands of electrical wire from the driver-side footwell into the engine compartment (wiring up a laser jammer). Needless to say, I do not want to make any new holes into the firewall.
I took the driver-side footwell apart, finding that the only way through the firewall is this rubber grommet: Any suggestions as to how I can go through there? I've read a couple of DUIs that involve puncturing it, but there has to be a "proper" way to do it. Best regards |

Does it have to be on the driver's side?
First search I made and 2 links later, I found this... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=Firewall Seems safer than driver's side to me... |

@Wongway: Thanks for the link, I've actually looked through that DUI. The problem here is that the passenger-side tunnel ends in the sealed ECU box, and my wires need to go all the way to the front bumper of the car. The driver-side tunnel ends somewhere near the DSC controller module, which has ample space to route a wire along it.
