SES light after a pop and gurgle from exhaust

Yesterday I was driving around 30 mph admiring how much this civic sounded like a weed whacker, I downshifted and my exhaust gurgled and there she was, the SES light.. However, no codes were thrown?? I don't know what's going on! All my mods never threw an SES so I don't know what this could be. I could usually see when it popped and gurgle when it downshifted and the rpms went up and down a tad....any ideas?

Not without a code. It could be a misfire from a bad coil...

That's what I was thinking, but the no codes are throwing me off

Edit:
When I start the car, sort of hesitated a little bit... But the car drives pretty normal.. Maybe shakes a little bit when started.

I agree with him. It maybe the coils. Had the same thing happen to me and bam a few weeks later, the coils went bad.
