Bilstein hd shock

Can someone please put up pics of how the bilstein hd shock is suppose to look installed on the car. I'm not sure if mine is installed correctly I want to see exactly what parts I'm suppose to take off the old BMW strut and put into the new bilstein hd strut

There are plenty of DIYs on here. Either way, you're supposed to put everything back just the way you found it.

Post up a pic of yours and I'm sure we'll be able to tell if it's right or not.

So do I reuse the stock dust boot or use the blue one that the bilstein hd shock comes with ?

On the rear you use the bilstein blue dust boots and the bilstein bump stops. On the fronts the bilstein bump stops are internal to the strut, so you just install them with the blue rubber gator.
