VRSF CP w/Forge Fitment Questions
I just installed my new VRSF cp, and attached my Forge DV's to it. Install went fine, but I have 2 concerns about fitment:
1 - The forge DV's are touching each other (per photo's) 2 - The Front forge DV is also touching the metal body of the engine bay Is this rubbing an issue? Is there anything can/should do to re-align and create some more space? i tried moving things around all sorts of ways but nothing worked... Forge states that the DV's should not be touching...on the stock CP, there is enough space to prevent this from happening. Thanks in advance for your help! |

I don't think it's a big deal as long as the vac lines aren't kinked or rubbing. That said, it's easily remedied through the use of curved radiator hose instead of whatever you're using to attach the Forge to the charge pipe. If you get a "j" shaped piece you can impart a little offset to the DV's. They're cheap, just take a sample of your connector piece to autozone or whatever and root through their radiator hose section until you find a piece that is the same diameter (common) and has a shape that you like. Trim to the length you want and you're there. I actually had one DV mounted sideways to clear the stock airbox when I was using the Mr.5 intake with BMS charge pipe and Forge DV's.

I believe the VRSF CP OEM style mimics the OEM angles where as other aftermarket OEM style DV are angled differently for this reason.
A like that quick fix from C. Pop as it seems like the cheapest route to go on getting the issue corrected. |

Same issue with me with forge DV's on a Vishnu charge pipe. I wedged a 1/2" think rubber spacer between them to keep them from rubbing. You can get these for under $1 at your local hardware store.
