Question Bluetooth question

So I have a 2011 e92 with no navi. I have Bluetooth phone capabilities but I really wanted music streaming.

So I purchased a Bluetooth-AUX adapter that fits in my center console, now my phone connects and has wonderful sound quality over streaming and is basically seamless.

My one gripe with it is that I have to answer phone calls over the Bluetooth-AUX adapter and it uses my phone's mic.

Does anyone know a way for me to stream music over my AUX adapter but use the car's Bluetooth capabilities (so I can use the car mic and not have to hold my phone)

I have a Galaxy S4 btw.

Not possible. The car basically switches of the aux port when a call is received and adhere to the call. Plus mic is wired to the call and Bluetooth adapter depends heavily on you using the aux function.

Try connecting both the car and adapter with your phone and see what happens. phone's Bluetooth settings may give priority to one device over the other so when a call is received it switches over to the car's connection (this is me having hope though)..

Which Bluetooth adapter are you using? I have been looking at the Kinivo BTC450 as I do not have factory Bluetooth. OK, so you wouldn't be able to use the car Bluetooth for calls, but the Kinivo would do it and also it supports aptx over Bluetooth which the s4 does so CD quality streaming.

Only reason I have not bought one is because I want the new Kinivo BTC455 which supports 2 phone pairing, but they have not started selling them in the UK yet.

The Kinivo BTC450 is what I have actually, it's great for what I use it for. I really just stream Pandora + Google maps most of the time. It auto detects upon the start of the car unlike most of the others which I find very useful.

Best buy sells a bluetooth to aux module that only does a2dp (no phone calls). I have one and it works perfect for what you are wanting to do. My phone connects to both the car and the module. Music goes through the module and phone calls go through the car. Handling off is seamless. Only problem is you have to turn it on when you get in the car. After it loses BT connection it will turn itself off after a set amount of time.
