Shortest Front Spring, 5"?

Hi guys,

What is the shortest front spring I can run without running into travel issues? Is a 5" front spring possible?

I'm currently using a 560lb 6" swift spring with a swift helper on Moton Clubsports but I'm still running into serious inner tyre wall clearance issues with the lower spring perch with 12mm spacers and I'm only using 225/40/18 595RSRs.

I have a set of 235/40/18 AD08Rs waiting for me but there's no way they'll fit at the moment. Is it possible to run a 5" front spring. That would possibly raise the perch enough to give me inner clearance if I also get smaller block height helper springs from Eibach.

Cheers,

Alex

Sounds like you need front wheels with less offset to move the inboard section away from the suspension. I can't imagine running anything less than a 6 in spring with so little travel already. Max height with a 6" spinng is pretty darn low.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately wheel offset is not the issue. I'm running 18x8.5 ET48 wheels with a 12mm spacer with 225 tyres and the wheel is virtually poking out of the fender by about 5mm.

I need inner clearance and the only way I can do that is by moving the spring perch up.

Got a pic of where your adjuster is right now with the 6" spring?
