long cranks and gauge sweeps

so i have a 2010 fbo 135. i have had the jb4 g5 since may, flashed the bms race file in july and a week and a half put a walbro 255 inline and flased the bms e85 mt file. saturday i drove around and when i stopped for an hour when i went to get back in and start it up it would just crank and the gauges would keep sweeping. when i would try again it would fire right up. it has done this every day at least once. as soon as i try again it starts right up, every time. always starts up first thing in the morning and i can start it 5 times in a row without it happening. only after i drive at some random time after being turned off for a while, tonight it was off for 20 minutes and it did it. i bought the jb4 brand new from a vendor on the other forum. no codes thrown when checking with the bms cable, haven't scanned it yet with the bt cable. just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? or any suggestions. jb4 went in in may and i have never played around or disconnected it.
thanks

I would look at your fuel pump install.. Gauge sweep is an option on the JB4 so that is normal I believe.

Turn off gauge sweep on your cluster, then see if it does it still.

JB4 map guide on google top post will tell you what steering controls they are!

I occasionally get long cranks when cold, I have the Steve AZ inline 255 and run straight e85 most times. Usually I just let off the break and it starts up easy the 2nd try.

My logs are good per BMS, no pump issues.

How much e8five you running?
R
Also the reason I mentioned SteveAZ cause his setup was one of the easiest installs ever....... He did a great job!!

didn't do it tonight. i dont know how old the battery is, i bought the car in may with 50000 miles. i am running e60. i bought the kit from steve and its great. took me over an hour to get that damn green line of the stock pump, i didn't want to break it.

and what ground? the one from the battery in the trunk? i never remove that one, i always just remove the positive.

The gauge sweep command is sent when the jb4 sees power come on, so it could be a power issue or ground and could be at the jb4 also so would double check connections there also, but sounds like some connection is intermittent.
