Trunk air pressure release flaps
These can be found on the left and right rear trunk wall panels, right next to the OEM amp and the battery. There are rubber flappers that can open up to the outside so that when you close the trunk the pressure wave can escape. Does anybody know if the cavity behind these flaps is a wet cavity? Reason I ask is that with my IB setup they make a lot of noise and I have stuffed some foam in there to hold the flaps open. This eliminates the noise but I am not sure if I there can be water coming in now in case this is a wet cavity. Thx

I don't think it is considering its behind the bumper cover mounting brackets and pretty well protected by the wheel well. Maybe we should pull the bumper off. Remove the flaps and use the membrane material. Not sure it would flow enough air though.

Yeah that is a possibility, but it may be overkill. Thanks for the info, I think I'll just leave it like this and keep an eye on it.
