trouble removing shifter

not sure how to remove the shifter knob looking to replace the factory knob.

If you look like this and still the knob is stuck, try this method when you are recovered. When you pull, give the knob a little twist left and right (I am only talking very little twist). Infact, the knob will not physically twists but you gave it some horizontal force to give it some torsion as you pull up. Does that make any senses (it def works for me).

I found that opening the sunroof and sitting on the center console helped give me extra leverage... but still wear a helmet.
