JB4 2 Step not working

Hey everyone just wanted to see if i could get some help my JB4 2 Step isnt working properly. if I have the 2step set it will limit the rpms at full throttle whether the clutch is pushed in or not.

So for now I have it set to 0 so I am able to get on it

Wiring was triple check and looks like everything is where its supposed to be... any help would be appreciated...

here are some pics.

Set FutureUseD = 14 and see if low fuel pressure goes from 0 to 1 when
pressing clutch in at idle. That will test your clutch wire.

do a restore defaults.

you could also try updating to newest firmware and interface

see if either of those work.

I had the same problem.

Menu 8 - set your RPM for rev limiter, future use E to 0

I was being a puss with the throttle, you really gotta slam it in and hold it, car at a stop, clutch in, 1st gear for 2 step to work. I'm still working on getting the NLS down.

so was yours limiting your RPMS no matter what even if you had the clutch pushed in or not?

thats what mine is doing.

I'll try to set the future Use e to 0 on my lunch see if that corrects it. waiting on a response from jon so hopefully i can get this fixed.... side note: car def pulls hard and also had the CDV deleted feels so much better to drive.

just tried changing future e(now meth enable?) to 0 didnt work

also tried to restore default and also already have the latest firmware and interface

BMS is sending me a new clutchwire they say it might be that which i'm not sure i believe that as the value was changing when i was pushing in the clutch

any other ideas?

hey I took mine out yesterday and mine actually works.

I was just testing it in the street at idle not moving when it wasnt working.
BUT when I was pushing the car and it was moving it let me rev past the point and didn't limit it.

Were you testing it at idle like I was or were you actually on the road pushing it.

not sure i follow... this is suppose to be a 'launch control" of sorts... why would you have to be moving?

example...

this used to work on my car, not sure if firmware updates messed it up or what, but i have been working back and forth with Jon trying to figure this out.

the problem i was having was when i didnt have the clutch pushed down and floored the car while sitting in my driveway the 2step would still limit my RPMs to the setting i chose. but I found out when I was driving my car and floored it the 2step did NOT limit it to my RPM setting which i thought was going to happen based on testing it in my driveway

so it was working all along just that I should have road tested it instead of just trying it in my driveway

This is so frustrating, I installed 2 step literally 2 days ago worked flawlessly 10/10 times. Then I go and update the firmware on my jb4, all of a sudden 2 step do not activate. Did anyone figure it out ?

Mine is working. It was at a stand still wether I had the clutch in or not and I floored it still in neutral it would limit but if I the car was moving it wouldn't limit it unless the clutch was pushed in

What is yours doing?

im having issues with my 2 step as well... the 2 step part works fine for me, but the no lift shift part does not... but after looking at your photos you have brown wires installed that i did not install... Im pretty sure the DIY i looked at to install my 2step never included the brown wires. which is now all making sense becuase i remember having brown wires left over. unfortunately those wires are gone now. ill have to look when i get home i guess
