3 series and a mickey mouse spare tire
Does anybody know if BMW even offers a donut spare tire to purchase so that you don't have to stick with the run-flats?

spare tire solution
Here is a picture of my spare tire solution for my E90 330XI 2006,
I got the spare tire and jack from LeatherZ: http://www.leatherz.com Here is a shot of it in my trunk:http://www.sierrabmwcarclub.org/pictures/ I replaced my Run Flats with: Bridgestone Potenza RE 960AS Pole Position. I got them from Firestone - free rotation, free flat repair, 40,000 mile tread warranty, road hazard coverage (not available with original run-flats). The car now drives as it should! Cheers, Jeff |

To answer your question directly, no, they dont have any options for a spare.

The run flats are plain awful, with noise and road feel.
I really don't know why BMW keeps using them

I share your same opinion and that's why i posted this thred. My wife and I are working out all the numbers and the 335 looks to be a serious contender for us. I love the Michelin PS2 pilot sport tires but as a run-flat, they're over $450! You might as well hand them your money, a bottle of vasoline, and put your elbows on the table!
