FS AFE open intake for non turbo N52 BMW 325/328/330/128

Probably the loudest meanest intake you can get for the N52 engine

For sale AFE Stage 2 open intake $220:

Not my car but it sounds like this

Fits:
BMW 128i (E82/88) 08-13 L6-3.0L
BMW 325i/xi (E90/91) 2006 L6-3.0L
BMW 328i/xi (E90/91/92/93) 07-13 L6-3.0L
BMW 330i/xi (E90/91/92/93) 2006 L6-3.0L

http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...rtno=54-11862&

I have TWO air filters. I have the original oiled filter that came with the intake and I bought an extra dry filter for $80 that I used when waiting for my oiled filter to dry after cleaning. I also have some oil and cleaner left over from the cleaning kit.

Note: This the OPEN afe intake, not the sealed one. That's why the sound is so loud, but performance won't be so good.

If you want better performance, lots of people get a spacer to move the MAF sensor. The intake makes the car run rich by default, I think the spacer adjusts the Air Fuel ratio back to normal.

I'm curious as to why you're running an oiled filter.

I've been told to only run DRY filters since the oiled filters can screw up the MAF??

thanks

As I said, I have both the oiled and dry filters so if this is a concern for anyone they can use the dry filter for daily driving and substitute in the oiled filter when waiting for the dry filter to dry after cleaning.

As for why do I use the oiled filter? It has slightly better air flow. The oiled vs dry filter debate is a very old debate and basically yes, there is a risk of contaminating or damaging your MAF sensor with oiled filters. But I've used AFE and K&N oiled filters on more than one vehicle and I haven't had any problems so far. K&N filters are oiled and probably the most commonly used performance air filter on the JDM/KDM, euro and muscle car forums. Most people seem to be satisfied with it. But the biggest risk is probably after you clean the filter and you have to re-oil it. There is a chance that you could apply too much oil. If that happens maybe I'll switch to a dry filter but for now I haven't had reason to do so

I have the same intake on my vehicle and after doing the spacer mod, my car has no errors (3 years with intake), drives and sounds awesome!

I did the same thing, I purchased a second dry air filter while the other one was drying.

Both mine are dry.

Thanks guys. I did have a buyer pending. Unfortunately I had to put our meeting on hold. When I was loading up my car I noticed that some parts were missing. Some missing parts like the screws could be easily replaced and probably so could the MAF O ring, but the one I don't know about is the tube flange gasket.

I'd need something like this but with a 3.5 inch opening.

http://www.spectreperformance.com/se...aspx?prod=8148

Me and the pending buyer are both trying to source replacement parts at the moment. But AFE does not have product numbers for any of the individual parts except the air filter.

If anyone has any other suggestions I'd love to hear it. But for now the sale is on hold indefinitely as I can't guarantee it will work. (Well it could work but you won't get a good seal on the intake tube)

Guess I was too excited about going to K&N drop in with charcoal delete and Cyba intake scoops hat I neglected to make sure all the AFE parts were accounted for when it was removed. Sorry guys
