Time to give some thoughts and impressions about my 2 as it clocked 1000 kms yesterday.
Although I'm still babying it, to some extent, the power delivery is just extraordinary and more linear! Think BMW did very well with the new generation of the N55! My 335 was highly modified and definitely felt more powerful but the power was violent if I can describe it that way! In the 335, I struggled to keep in my lane on WOT even in third gear! On hard acceleration from a stand still, the car went straight, fast! Unlike my 335 which used to go sideways! I'm yet to try LC, maybe in a couple of weeks when I take it to WSID! The exhaust note is nice and better than the N54 but a little bit quieter! It gets louder when in sport+ mode. It pops and gurgles when I let off the accelerator and farts when changing gears under hard acceleration just like the A45 did in some of the youtube videos I watched, which was the only thing I liked about the A45! The suspension is really good and way better than a stock E92 with M-Sport suspension. In sport+ it is stiff, not as stiff as my E92 with KW V2's on full stiffness! The electronic power steering is precisely responsive and lighter than the steering in my E92 and the Michelin PSS complete the equation and add a lot of grip. I love every aspect of the interior and exterior and I don't think that I'd want to change anything at this stage other than the silver mirror caps! Some let downs:
Thinking seriously of debadging it due to the amount of Mazda 3's and Corollas that tailgate me! So annoying! |
