If USPS lost it then the shipper would have to file a claim and more than likely have to ship you a new one. Can't really blame Umnitza for this though. UPS/Fedex ship like 100 millions packages a day. Even if they only lose 1% of the that's still a million packages a day.

USPS is usually spot on with all of my shipments as a seller.
Unfortunately, it looks like a stock oil cooler I'm selling to a forum board member is stuck at "accepted", and I'm not too happy about that. I'm about to take a trip over to the local post office today. |

File a formal complaint, you should have recived package 3 weeks ago. Looks like package got lost and they havn't been able to locate it. Best thing to do is call the shipping company.

The tracking on that is all kinds of messed up, I had to ship a pair of ear impressions to Sweden and my tracking from USPS said that exact same thing for a month even after my ear impressions were delivered but in your case they still haven't gotten to you... I hope you can resolve this quickly.

USPS is the worst for shipping packages unless priority mail. It's probably sitting the corner of the distribution center with a pile of other packages on top of it. Best case would be if it was sent back as undeliverable...Good luck. Hope they find it for you.

If you're international, it looks like it left the US via Jamaica, NY. That's pretty common. And USPS is of course the United States Postal Service and they are not great with tracking packages. Typically what happens is that once it leaves the US, it's untrackable until it gets delivered by your local post office. USPS hands it off unlike FedEx or UPS which typically deliver themselves. It's why you can't track it out of the country.
But at this point, you need to contact Umnitza and have them file a claim if you haven't done so already. USPS will then begin to look for the package and if they don't find it, pay out the insurance. But if Umnitza has any customer service, they would ship you a new one and deal with the lost package on their end. You can't file a claim and any reimbursement is paid to the shipper which is them. Most small business ship international via USPS because it is multiples cheaper than UPS or FedEx and often times customers prefer it because they don't collect nearly as much in duties/tariffs. You unfortunately get to illustrate the flip side of being that much cheaper than others. |
