Quick question, picking up my 2011 X-Drive Perf Edition at 5pm today.

It was standard on the 07-08 335i's. On 09+ it was an $800ish option.

Sorry for late reply. BMW Individual Audio = no HK = no Bass

Compared to the Alpine on my 2013 RAM this stereo is very weak. Tinny and flat sounding, but hopefully i can get that changed this week...

Apart from that, Edmonton BMW gave me the car half-detailed so they're taking it back in this week to give it a full polish. Front spoiler was a mess, no 3M which was part of the deal, no floor mats etc...just pretty crap experience all round.

On the plus sides, brilliant car to drive, having alot of fun this weekend

Need to find out where to go for a tune here in Edmonton.
Recommendations?

Was wondering what else i should be looking at under the hood. If you guys had bough a 2011 with 44k...what would you be looking at from a service standpoint? Don't know much about under the hood but i see folks talking about cleaning the catch-can, flushing fuel limes etc.

Can someone give me a list of stuff i might want to get done?

Will post some pics later today.

Individual Audio is better than Hk

Individual Audio is better than Hk
Read the description in this thread
More power more channels better speakers.

Most people would be real Happy with it.
Its the rare 4th level system that they used to charge 2k plus for.

If you want some insight on servicing Google Mike Miller BMW and
download the Old School Maintenance schedule. It has a lot of history
on BMW maintenance . If you want of modify explore the other sub boards
here that are dedicated to those specific topics.

On paper the Individual Audio may well be better, but in reality they sounds tinny and lacking any real power. I'm going to have the dealer check there's nothing wrong with the wiring or subs - that's how poor it is. And i'm not a high-end, high-maintenance audiophile expert. It can likely be improved with better bass. When you turn it up...yes it's very clear but missing that deep rich enveloping sounds quality. Turning up the volume simply makes it too harsh too listen to.

Thx for the servicing link, will have a look
