I have the PE with AR Downpipe, it is LOUD AS HELL. I woudn't want it any louder. Now if you want it louder without a DP that's another thing but it misses the point of having the BMW PE. People get it for the nice tone, growl and gurgle, + it's OEM. If you want a loud exhaust without DP, the PE is not for you.

this.. but if you aren't awd than not sure what to tell you? get a muffler delete? but that would be louder and probably have a different tone.. might be raspy a little.. watch videos of muffer deletes on the n55

In Europe the Performance exhaust has a flap on the E9x, is it different then from the US version? Opening the flap permanently will increase the sound level, notably at lower speeds.

^ There is
I would say get a different exhaust. The BMW PE is not for you if you're not getting downpipes. I think with the downpipes, it's the perfect exhaust set up for us.

I have zero drone. It sounds amazing and is still subtle enough daily driving, if you want. I'm in the same boat and hate drone. I've had exhausts before that droned and this is the best one. I have JB4 tune with BMS DP.

You can play with the default wastegate position setting on your JB4. A more open wastegate will give you more sound, but there will also be more lag.

I've had a muffler delete for like 5 months now and I still love it but it's not loud enough for me anymore. I can't wait till my VRSF Catless Downpipes come in. Btw for me there's barely any drone. I have a few videos heres one you can hear how mine sounds. I know this doesn't really answer your question but maybe a future suggestion.
