Idiots guide to angel eyes needed

Car is 2007 Pre Lci E92 335i. Love some of the lights you guys have but don't want to spend hundreds to achieve it. Can I just install the right bulbs to get the 2 white clear rings? At the moment mine are yellow and I have one ring and one full light.
Remember , it's an idiots guide I'm after

Idiots Guide: No

Basically, you can replace the bulbs and make them a whiter light but if you're after a bright white light like the later Angel Eyes then you'd have to spend a lot of money having your lights converted

My understanding of this is that if you want a proper result, you need to spend some proper cash. I don't think there's a quick fix unfortunately. Apparently the bulbs you can get just don't cut it compared to the real thing.

Suggest you look at Josh's work at LiteAngels if you haven't already. Having seen his work in person several times, I can assure you that the result is beyond impressive - it transforms the car.

So the cheap option you mention won't enable me to have just 2 clear rings for daytime driving without one of the being a full light?

If all you want is the rings without any headlamps on and you're not getting this, perhaps your auto-lights is just turning on your dipped beams? You should be able to get just the rings with no lamps by turning your light switch to side lights, rather than Auto.
Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken?

I find my auto lights turns on my dipped beams very often, meaning I almost always get the effect you described. Changing the bulbs will only change the colour and brightness of the rings, nothing else. And it won't look nearly as good as LiteAngels.

Ahh I do have them on auto all the time.
Could someone put a comparison on of the cheap option and the proper job by lite angels ?
