Newbie Audio & Bluetooth questions
Have a 07 328xi new to me. It is non-idrive. It says BMW Professional on the head unit.
I Was trying to pair my phone to Bluetooth and nothing comes up to begin the process. Is it possible that even though it has the buttons on the steering wheel and radio that the phone feature is not included? Or is it just broke? Also, was setting up the radio and I do not seem to have access to equalizer settings like I have seen in videos or read about here. What gives? |

it may or may not have had those options in your vehicle...
in 2007, BT required a TCU (option 644) (or MULF (option 6FL) with a slight modification) Equalizer is only available with Logic 7 (option 677) / Harman Kardon (option 688) |

All cars get the buttons but not all have bluetooth.

You can run a Vin check on one of the BMW VIn checkers and see whats installed if you don't have the original paperwork. |

Do Search on forum for BT retrofits, there are many threads detailing the various ways of getting BT on a car that doesn't already have it... Or you could just go out & buy the new Dynavin N6 Radio which incorporates BT functionality that works with OEM steering wheel buttons along with a lot of other features including Navigation, Ipod USB, 7" Touch Screen, Back-Up Camera capability... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1016187

there is a few some of them give more info can't tell you which ones so try several. The cars before 2010 came prewired for options so its not as hard in those. There is a bluetooth sticky at the top of the page . The trouble is there are a lot of versions of the bluetooth module I would try to get a mulf that will allow you USB at least if you the OEM route. The modules can be found used on ebay and the forums the car must be programmed to see them and work with them. If you have Hi Fi you don't have an equalizer only the L7 = Top Hi Fi has that. See description in third link(and first link) read the other links to become familiar with what you have and what is possible.
