FS: E90 Modded Cluster
I have a E90 cluster, and all the LEDs were converted to white. I removed it from my 09 335i after 34k. If you currently have less than 34k, you would probably want to have another EEPROM installed. If you currently have more, then you can just program your VIN and it will take on your higher mileage. In perfect condition. Looking to get $150 or best offer (plus PayPal fees). Or, would be willing to do a 1 for 1 swap for a pair of LUX v4 halos. Send a pm if you're interested, or would like pics. Edit: Here's some updated info on the cluster, and link to pic. It has the M3 backing plate, needles, and gauge rings. @db2761 is the one who actually did this work for me, and I'm sure he'll customize it more to your liking if needed. Here's the link to the pic: http://s46.photobucket.com/user/code...10d79.jpg.html I return from Japan 26 Sept, and could ship 27 Sept. Last edited by wildcatcrazy; 09-19-2014 at 01:52 AM.. Reason: Additional details. |

I just did a similar swap, installing a used 335i cluster in a 328xi. For seamless operation, an EEPROM change/reset is still required, even if the donor cluster has fewer miles (this effectively turns a used cluster into a new one). The donor cluster is then coded to the car.
If you don't reset the EEPROM and don't subsequently code the cluster to the car, the instruments would still work (speedo, tach, oil temp gauge). But some electronic functions would not (TPMS reset, cruise control, etc.). I had the EEPROM swap done by a very knowledgeable guy in TX, whom I'd highly recommend. I chose to send him the entire cluster instead of just the EEPROM. He reads and saves the EEPROM contents, then solders in a brand new chip, and updates it. He also sent me the coding cable on loan, and remotely coded the cluster to the car (along with digital speed readout) at no extra charge. Great service, with a 24-hr. turnaround! |

I just recently got an ///M Cluster from Dan & installed into my 09' 328 In my case, I didn't send mine in for conversion, I bought an entire ///M cluster outright, already modded with new EEPROM, ///M Software, & his Blue/White Center LCD Mod. I already have coding cable/software, but he sent me a custom NETTODAT file & walked me thru the coding over the phone (as I had never done coding using NETTODAT) - he's a great guy & his customer service is excellent! This unit already modded is a steal @ $150 for sure Here's link to my install pics & review for anyone wondering how these look installed-keep in mind mine is not a modded stock cluster like this one FS, but an actual ///M Cluster set up for my car - so there are differences: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1031960

Free bump. What the OP seller proposes (sending the cluster directly to Dan first) is a great idea! GLWS. |
