Suspension recommendations?
200,000 miles. After turbo upgrades in my sig comes clutch, then LSD, then suspension. So it's a way off but not too far. What can you guys recommend as far as improving handling but keeping the ride similar comfort wise to stock. I drive this for 3-6 hours a day 4-5 times a week so ride comfort is a priority but I do like doing 4 wheel drifts etc. what stuff should I replace stock, buy aftermarket, etc. coil overs, springs, bushings, sway bars, swing arms, etc. I don't want to lower it much if at all. And I don't want to be fiddling with adjustments all the time. I have sport suspension on it currently. Thx.

I highly recommend the BMW Performance Suspension V2. Comes with all parts, no fiddling, great ride, better than stock ZSP, absorbs bumps much better, less body roll.

I'm a big fan of the Bilstein B12 kit. Moderate lowering when compared to the non-sport suspension (probably won't make any difference on a car with sport package) and no adjustments to mess with. Just swap them, get your car re-aligned and enjoy.

So the only vert specific kit I see is the kW. The rest list coupe but not vert. I can't find the bmw version on the bmw or getbmwparts sites. I haven't changed anything since I got the car. Just one bent swing arm 75,000 miles ago. Again, please list specifically each part I need and links to where to get them would be great. I probably need bushings, swing arms, etc. again, I want to maintain the stock sport suspension ride height, comply ride, but improve the handling and lessen the sway in the turns. I don't want to get something with a hard or bouncy ride as I drive 20 hours a week average. Thx.

Do the bushings come in a kit or do you need to purchase them separately? Are the control arm bushings different on the 335 and the m3?

I read the write ups about the Bilstein B12 setup and it sounds like it fits the bill. There is a different number available for the convertible. Anyone have any experience with this on their vert? And what else do I need to get good results? Sway bars? Bushings? Control arms? Thx

for the heck of it I went to Ecstuning.com, plugged in your '08 e93 335i and, for shocks, they do show Koni yellows.
http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E93-335...ocks/ES518057/ You might want to verify (I would) with them before buying and possibly with the Koni website support desk as well. ecstuning also shows the b12 kit under "cup kits" http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E93-335...its/ES2725395/ you can also use "bmw garage" to search for folks with convertibles and view their setups. I found a guy with Koni FSD on a 335i here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/bpgara...o=view&id=4068 no idea if he or you would like that setup |

Already doing a 10k turbo upgrade. Even if it lasts only 100k more it's cheaper than used lol.

Driving pleasure may be degraded by increased power without accommodating same in your drivetrain and suspenion. IMHO, suspension/LSD first, then power. The humble truth: You may not feel the need for more power after suspension mods. Put less than $10k into suspension & LSD - you'll have surprising, no-limit handling with better ride quality at speed - slightly firmer down low. Gotta wonder - does Florida do mandatory emissions tests? Maybe you've resolved that if you're ready t'pop. RECOMMENDED INSTALLS |

Inspection in Florida is nil. Doesn't exist. You renew your registration by paying on the Internet then go outside to burn your leaf and branch pile with gasoline.
As for the suspension etc it's going to be a month after turbos. |
