I have not had this issue, what is the cost to fix? What is the protocol for fixing?
My main concern is I am going to get car tuned in the near future, so would I lose my tune if I get this problem? Or can it be backed up, or saved somehow?

If they flash it you will loose your tune, if your tuner will flash back for free your good to go, if not, go with a tuner that will...

Diesel Racer in my experience only partial tune has gone haywire, RENNtech provides free reflashes just send it overnight unless they have changed their policy. There is another company doing it its called BMC and Miami Tuning Group( both owned by whom else, Lenntech)

So the fix for a dde problem is a reflash from BMW?
Or is ECU replaced, and then I would need a reflash to get tune back?
So this problem people are having, is it a hardware, or software failure? What is the price to fix this issue? Also once "fixed" is this issue a re accruing problem down the road?
