Doors squeaking - seals need lubricating?

Hi,

I just picked up my E90 and drove 300 miles last night to Glasgow.

Once I'd arrived and turned the music down a wee bit, I heard a squeaking noise when going over the roads at low speeds from both drivers side and passengers side.

This morning on my way to work, noise is still there.

Any idea what this could be?

Thanks

If the noise is from the door seals try Gummi Pflege rubber treatment. Its not expensive so worth a try.

Silly question.. are the door seals the rubber bits around the edge of the door, or the door frame (the car body)

I've an e92 I only have seal-around the car body door frame if that makes sense.Someone may have sprayed like a silicon spray on the rubbers to may they nice and clean shiny but this can lead to squeaks.

Right I will check the doors when I leave work, there should only be a rubber seal around the car body door frame not around the actual door itself yes?

This is the stuff I use and it states silicone free. And it served me well over the past 4 years.

I tried the auto glym stuff last night, seems to have worked but i only applied to the main doors, not the boot or bonnet lid.

Is it also worth applying there?

This stuff works

Carboflo KSP 105 aerosol from Fuchs.

I bought 2 cans from Ebay - stops my door creaks.

Interestingly my BMW is the only car Ive ever had this problem with - another BMW design fault. Some underlying issue in German design philosophy I think- they dont believe in KISS.

So the auto glym stuff works for a bout a day then the squeaks come back

Should I now try the Carboflo or the Gummi stuff?

Can someone just clear something up for me.. What is the difference between the door seals and the door rubbers and also what is this felt that I've seen mentioned a few times in similar posts?
