even if the oil lasts that long - and it does't - the filter won't.

I don't think following the CBS is necessarily wrong but if it were me I'd be sending off samples for oil analysis to be certain.

What's the maximum length between services with CBS? Is it 24mths or 18k miles?

I thought it was 15k or 1 year intervals. I know some go longer according to cbs though.

I change my oil every 5K or every 6 months regardless of the CBS. I reset the CBS every three times & use it only as i guide. I wouldn’t buy your car if you disclosed this information capturing the long interval in-between oil changes (my 0.2).

according to the DME the maximum interval is 30,000 km or 730 days! that's insanity..
