vrsf CP install

I installed my VRSF CP today. My plan was to upgrade from the stocker to be safe from OEM plastic explosions…I kept the DVs…Im not a BOV Whoooooosh type of person.

I bought it from Tiago who was helpful and awesome. It shipped fast and I had it in just a few days…I live in FL.

It was not as easy as I had hoped. There were no straight DIYs for the n54 keeping the stocks DVs. After searching, a few days ago I came across a PDF Cobb Tuning has released. It was perfect, very helpful.

Anyway, a few tips:

When connecting the Rubber coupler to the high side of the IC, make sure it's oriented properly(the coupler) along with the clamps. I had to pull the FKN CP off like 5-6 times to make sure it fit well. The big issue is that if the connections are not on flush and tight, there is a chance they could blow off when it boosts up….that would be counter productive and you would have to tear the whole thing apart again and fix the leak.

You want the clamps positioned so that you can access the nut to tighten. Also, make sure the bottom part of the coupler is FULLY connected and flush with it. I had to hold it together w/ both hands and have my wife tighten the clamp using the socket. See the pic. which shows orientation of the clamps.

Feel free to ask any questions. GL

Thanks for the heads up! I will be looking into this also as I'm not a "woosh" type of person neither.
