BMW doesn't know what being above average in reliability in JD Powers annual study feels like. They have always been in or near the bottom of the survey. But they also have an extraordinary number of tech details in their cars as compared to others over the years, and often pioneer them. More stuff, more that can break....

Seems like they finally solved the routine head gasket problems of yore.
