Have you tried this wax?
I was wondering if any of you have heard or have tried this wax..
http://www.meguiars.com/en/professio...ess-spray-wax/ I'm currently using chemical guys hybrid V7 after every wash and in between like @otruba_843 and after i'm layering it with meguiar's ultimate quik wax ( http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...mate-quik-wax/ ) But since meguiar's doesnt have the quik wax in a gallon form i'm using it very sparingly and since rain season is only a couple of months away i'm trying to look for another type of wax. I do use sonax polymer net shield too and works well at beading water, but just wanted to try a different type of spray wax that i can buy in bulk... any comments or opinions welcome ![]() |

Detailer's Pro Final Gloss Quick Detailer. This isn't a spray wax, but it is the slickest QD that I have used in a long time, plus it seems to last more than a couple of days. The one plus is it doesn't streak that I have found, but I don't detail in direct sunlight. They also sell it by the gallon for $49.99, which is more than Meguiar's but not by much. Check it out on autogeek.net.

Best wax I ever used and use now is called Collinite. This is just superb. Available from internet only. Try it I promise that you will not be disappointed.

If you really want to try a nice wax, look into the Dodo Juice line. Expensive but wow, it's truly amazing. I use Supernatural personally but their Rainforest Rub is excellent as well. For a cheaper liquid-type wax, try Liquid Souveran by Pinnacle.

Pretty sure that is the Ult Quik Wax in gallon form: http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...ress-Spray-Wax
Usually I use UQW after each wash. For full details, I have been using Chem Guys 3x Carnauba then sealing with Sonax Netshield. Has worked really well, and both products are easy to apply. |

I'd recommend Optimum Car Wax, it applies just like the Meguiar's but lasts 2-3 times as long (I use both). It also can be bought in gallon form. The guys on autogeekonline and autopia discuss and test these things in depth and the X-Press wax and OCW seem to be the two best. The X-Press wax is the same as Ultimate Quik Wax with a different smell, as zero2sixty said.

I am no expert, but I've tried Collinite and hated it. To each their own, but the chemical turpentine mineral spirit smell it had was putrid. I'll stick to something that goes on easy and comes off easy, no matter how much product you put on, i.e Meguiar's Gold Class. You guys have any experience with Collinite being difficult to work with, thoughts?

Awesome! Thank you @zero2sixtyZ and everyone else for their informative inputs!!! I'm going to get it on amazon soon.
I'd have no problem using the Collinite 845 but i dont have a DA polisher yet and wouldnt want to practice it on my DD haha - sounds disastrous. highly considering going to one of chemical guys detailing lessons out in west LA |

Like everyone else, I use Collinite and it's one of the easiest on/off's I've ever used. Also, would advise applying by hand and not a DA. Any waxing with a DA is unnecessary...there is no reason to.
Not sure how you had problems with removal unless you put WAY too much on. |

I just bought some of chemical guys butter wet wax
http://www.chemicalguys.com/ProductD...ctCode=WAC_201 anyone on here try it? not asking for reviews of it, i've read plenty ![]() just wondering who's tried it or not. I also bought the jet seal sealant in the 16oz, no need for the 128oz - not that the $278 cost is holding me back.. jk thats crazy ![]() |
