jb4 map 5 throws code and shudders after WOT

So i have set on map 5. I have charge pipe bov and intake. I changed the wastegate to 4800rpm to help throttle response and ive turned on maxcool.

When i WOT the car acts great until about 4500rpm and then it throws SES and the car shutters like crazy when giving gas.
when i shut the car off ans d turn it back on its back to normal. Ive tried returning the wastegate to default and disabling max cool but it still does it.
it seems to be a common problem but im not throwing 02 codes. My afr is 20:1 which is way too much it seems. I still need to check the boost.

i still need try turning it back to map 4. Maybe map 2? And i dint have exhaust but we do have 93 octane so maybe map 3?
Any other leads?

UPDATE:
If i set the car up on MAP 4 (OEM TUNE) the car DOES NOT react the same way. I cannot get it to repeat the ses light and shuttering unless its in map 5. i havent tried any other maps

could also be a dirty injector, I had same symptoms but on Cobb stage 1+ aggressive, alternated tanks of techron & seafoam and that solved it. but if you haven't changed plugs start there. what are your codes?

Put your settings back to default. Run Map 5. Change Spark plugs.

Note* Whether you have a Cobb or JB4 the same principals apply to misfire diagnosis.

Change plugs to start, as others stated, if the misfire continues, move the coil from that cylinder to a different one and see if the misfire follows it, then replace that coil.

I'd take it easy on the car until you've done that. Every 25k the plugs should be changed when tuned.

Map 4 is stock tune, no extra boost, or anything. So, misfires typically show up on this car under high boost levels since they're being asked to do a lot more compared to stock. Based on what your saying is happening, I'd be willing to bet this issue is 100% the common "replace plugs" scenario that everyone runs into.

this was defiantly helpful. ill have to run the codes tonight and see what pops up on the jb4.

i switched the car back to map 5 and tried it again. same result. must be either an injector or coil pack.

If you have over 25,000 miles on your spark plugs it is likely that if you have multiple misfires.

If it's just one cylinder misfire it's likely coilpack.

An injector would be rare but when you pull the spark plug and find one that is fouled with fuel that would be an indication of a leaky injector.

I got my wear sensors at Advance auto for like $19ea. Call local parts stores. They won't be MUCH cheaper online.
