navandtv2go
Hey everybody, I have a 2007 e60 with CCC idrive no navigation. I am having the navandtv2go unit installed with a front and rear camera. The kit I bought came with an idrive controller which hooks up to the CAN wires near the screen. It did not come with a remote controller, but does have an IR wire. I was under the impression that I would be able to just use the idrive controller to change through the inputs. My installer is having difficulty accessing any inputs because he is saying that it requires a remote controller. I am not sure where I can even buy just the remote controller as well....any help or suggestions would be appreciated!!

And you should have a wired button going to the module to change inputs...
Otherwise yes, use the idrive knob : (push south like when selecting audio in the main Idrive menu and not push down) |

I dont think I have any button going to the module...as of now the only thing working is when we put the car in reverse it automatically switches to the reverse camera.

I just install it myself and got this button...
did you try the idrive knob? It will work for sure but not really practical... Do you have some pics of your install? I would like to see how they fit the front camera... For the rear one, did they use a cam in a licence plate light module? did u try it at night? I mean, do you have less light illuminating the licence plate? |

I am having the unit installed by a shop. So I will have to go to the shop tomorrow and play around with the idrive knob. I also am having him install HID reverse lights. The camera replaces the right license plate lamp. I will have to see how he mounted the front camera. Also, keep in mind that my unit is a 2006 model

similar problem
dear friends..
i have a BMW e90 2006 with professional dual slot 8.8" i have the similar problem as the OP stated.. i have PDC and a backup camera ...i would like to have a split screen.. between the backup camera and pdc. now, while in reverse it goes to 2/3 of the screen to backup.. i play with idrive knob as stated before.. it switches to a blue screen and back to reverse camera in 2/3 of the screen without pip (without PDC) the other 1/3 of the screen is black (no PDC, no computer journey, No Nav) any advice? would be very much appreciated... PS: i have tried the buttons on the steering wheel also.. no effect
