Why is the E93 335i so much more per month than the E92 335i?

My father is interested in leasing out a 2008 E93 335i but doesn't want to spend more than $750 per month. For some reason, if I build a E93 335i out to an MSRP of $54K it comes to $1,026 per month, or $19 per thousand. If I build a E92 335i out to an MSRP of $54K it comes to $840 per month (which could probably be shaved down to about $750 per month with good negotiating), or $15 per thousand? What's the story with this if the MSRP on both cars are the same?

BMW is not offering any financing incentives towards the convertibles

That sucks. So essentially then the E93 335i is going to be about as much to lease as an E92 M3.

Bingo, if you want one, you've gotta pay for one. But trust me, the grin on your face tells everyone that it's more than worth it!

I believe you. Well, he said it's either between a 2008 E93 335i or a used 2005 645i with 25,000 miles. What do you guys think?

Why buy a used vehicle? I would always buy new, because I go into it with the intention to keep a vehicle indefinitely. It's quite surprising to find people justifying that it's cheaper to replace a BMW in 3 years than it is to keep it and pay for repairs. To call it fuzzy math is an understatement.

You might be right about the price, it will be close. I personally like the E92 better, seems safer and its sportier..so its a win win for me!

I don't think that's why my dad, who is married, would buy an E93.

I think he's going to go with the 645i. It's a great car.
