what regular schedule maintenence??
i have a 335 in a small developing country with only 1 bmw dealer.
my 335 car is brand new, when i asked about regular scheduled maintence they only said that at 5,000 miles i get a free oil change. wtf? i was not looking for ANY free maintence, but wanted to know about reg new car maintennce like changing fluids, filters, etc... i plan on my first oil change at 1,500 miles (basically the engine break in), and subsequent oil changes at approx every 5,000 miles. can someone give me guidlines re the other regular "scheduled maintanence items like trans, rear end fluids, air filters, and other things i need to be concerned about. i know this may depend on driving style, and daily trafffic etc, i just want some general guidelines, fyi my car is a semi daily driver that will probably see only 6,000 miles per year. thanks

Read your manual. Your onboard computer should be able to tell you everything you want to know about the timing of major services. Your first scheduled oil change is at about 15,000 mi. Lots of debate about needing earlier changes here if you do a search. Call BMW north america, they'll be happy to give you more detail.
