Is the OEM HiFi Stereo decent?

I'm in the same boat as you. I did the speakers on my e36 but I didn't finish strong. Not willing to do that to my 335 so I'll likely have to pay for install. With my 335 right meow I've either blown my speakers and or amp. Haven't figured it out yet and not sure how to tell. Really missing the H&K from my e46 right now though

I'd say it's far and away better than an HK system. (though the only HK system I've heard recently was in the F30 series)

Yeah I've already talked to him and technic. Unfortunately I don't have the funds to drop 2K+ to upgrade the audio right now but I definitely plan to call Don when I'm ready.

HiFi is really lacking in bass dept. No, I don't listen to a lot of hip hop or anything like that, but subjectively it sounds like it rolls off badly below 40 Hz if not higher.

I have not heard an E9x with Logic 7 ("Top HiFi") so I can't comment.

If you're really into audio whichever you get you will probably upgrade anyway so I don't see the HiFi as being a deal killer.

I really want to get a trunk sub but just haven't gone and done it yet.

most floor standers on home hifi don't go below 60, I doubt stock BM even gets as low as 100

the whole system in all BMs is a sick joke

amp, front speakers and a sub in every one, regardless of original set up and will everyone stop calling the mid range nasties under the front seat sub there never were !!!

subs in home hi fi should be set up to start taking over from 80 as most speakers are just out of control garbage down there
