E90 sos malfunction

Hi i have a 58 plate e90, i have just bought the car it states sos malfunction and ghe aux and usb are also not working how can i reset this all this

The only time I have had the SOS malfunction is when I unplugged the infrared connection from the plastic underneath the passenger footwell, two torqx screws and you can pu the plastic down, check the connection. And are you using a BMW Y connector for the aux and usb?

Hi, I have not checked that, what is in the footwell the usb hub? Yes i am using the y cable, when i click on aux through the idrive it just skips and says no external audio found and goes straight onto fm radio,
