2 amp... also need to have balanced differential inputs?

SO when running 2 amps, with the first amp passing through (preout) to a second amp (for a sub), does the second amp also have to be balanced input capable? or any amp...not sure whether the first will pass the 5v straight through or if does sort of internal level lowering then passes it on...

2nd amp does not need the balanced input capability.

I have used a jl audio amp to receive the input from the head unit and then ran the pre-outs to a cheap soundstream amp to run the underseats, worked great. I was told by the mfg that the soundstream stealth amp did not work with differential inputs. So pretty sure.

yep i just read this too in the manual for my Jl audio amp (the one that DOES have inputs and will output to the alpine that doesnt) :

Note: The signal level of the “Preamp Output” is
line-level (low voltage), regardless of the position
selected in the A4300’s “Input Voltage” switch.
An additional amplifier connected to these
preamp outputs should have its input voltage
switch set to the “Low” position.

so all looks good for a 'normal' amp when daisychained
