Tires: Going RFT Bridgestone DriveGuard vs. Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP

I am well aware that most of you guys are seriously anti-RFT; that being understood, please consider the following.

It's time for tires and the Bridgestone DriveGuard RFT and Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP are both well-rated and less expensive than the non-RFT LRR tires I was looking at (Pirelli Cinturato P7 and Michelin Primacy MXM4).

My wife is the primary driver of her base 335d, and I like the idea of not worrying about her installing a plug, and operating a pump.

The Bridgestone DriveGuard RFT are currently $158/tire on TireRack with $70.00 Visa Card with mail-in rebate.

The Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP RFT are $156/tire on TireRack, and I am leaning this way.

Any and all input from those few of you who are pro-Run-Flat Tire will be grealy appreciated. Thanks in advance, attack at will.

What about the Continental ContiPro Contact all season RFT tires.. They are a bit more money but are OEM tires and I have had good luck with these tires. No sidewall bubbles and I have hit some crazy pot holes without knowing they were there. They ride very well and aren't noisy either..

My Conti run flats run out of tread every 9K miles. Replaced with non run flat GoodYear eagles and am getting a lot more tread life. Maybe a fluke with my alignment but I think the OEM Conti's are shit.

wow that's crazy. I have done lots of city and highway miles and got more than 30k on my tires before I boiled the shot out of them having fun. and my coworker got 50k on his tires. I don't see how you got only 9k on them unless they were extreme summer performance tires and you live in Vegas or spin the wheels all the time.

Have had good experience with the Conti SSR RFTs (have lasted about 40k miles so far) that came on the d, just looking for best balance of price-to-performance.

Continental ContiSportContact 3 SSR LRR RFT (Y-Rated) are $177.00/tire on TireRack. The Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP and Bridgestone DriveGuards mainly caught my attention due to positive reviews and very good price for a decent tire period; seems like a good deal given that they are RFTs.

Looks like we are going with the Bridgestone DriveGuard RFT from our local Firestone. $4.00 or so more expensive than buying from TireRack, and paying for installation, but includes Road Hazard Coverage and Lifetime Rotation.

$838.38 "Out-The-Door" and there is a $70.00 mail-in rebate.

Thanks for your input guys.

Continental RFTs seemed to handle a bit better in terms of feedback, otherwise so far, so good.
