Ken Block's Gymkhana 7 - Wild in the streets of Los Angeles

My favorite one so far, insane. Video of the year! I wonder how permits and everything works? Crazy how they're able to pull this off, although LA is pretty "movie" friendly.

Cool, but I think the SF one was better.

I like the low speed OJ chase reference.

Unlike a number of his videos, some of the stunts were not practiced over and over again before they committed to a complete run. You can see some of them were first attempts. However, I get the feeling they pieced this video together over varies attempts.

It is definitely impressive driving and Ken has great car control but;

I like to put things into perspective-

1) He is in a specially modified car to do this.
2) He is a pro race car driver.
3) All of the roads are closed for him and all road circumstances are under control.
4) They try each of these shots 10s if not 100s of times... you can see burn marks and skid marks all over that video before the scenes.
5) We are not seeing anything here that we have not seen before and all of these videos are the same.
6) The OJ bit and the lowrider bit were the most interesting parts and a bit funny and they had the least to do with impressive driving.

I take all the above into consideration and then I think about the crazy Georgian guy who filmed himself driving through the streets like a madmad in a stock M5 with no pro gear, no preparation with people all over the place and never skipped a beat... at that point, the Gymkhana videos become super lame (especially after 7 of them).
