Don't forget the stick on fake fender "gills". Good for 12 hp guaranteed. While your at it, buy the stick on letters "ADDS 15 HP". Jajajaja

I have some black ABS scoops from Match Snell and I have to agree at motorway speeds the car responds quicker for overtaking etc. I wouldn't remove them if you paid me what they cost me

Here's a simple way to test this ... Using the Torque App you can log the ambient air temp and the temp at the MAF. You could then log the data for the same driving route with and without scoops.
Below is an example screen shot of a steady state ~55 mph drive without scoops. I typically see the MAF temps at 0-3F above ambient for speeds above ~45 mph.

I know little in the derv tuning world , but it sounds like everyone is on the wrong end of the stick, a lot of people saying that forcing the air into the turbo makes no odds ect , comparing it to blowing in a Hoover ect , these wouldn't help in that sense , but , they do give a more direct feed to cool air (rather than going near the rad) they get cool fresh air , now I'm sure this apples to any combustion engine , cooler air is more dense , now I know we have a intercooler but if your intake air is a lower temp to begin with your intercooler still does its job , just with a lower starting temp , therefor even cooler air to use
So that side imo makes sense , and with these cars up at 370bhp , I have no question that the engine would benefit and in turn you would notice a small difference in engine pick up |
